Have you ever had a desire to be able to sit and sketch something in front of you but aren't sure how?  Contrary to popular belief, the ability to draw is not something that you have to be born with in order to do.  It can be just as much of a learned skill as it is a natural talent.  Every artist is constantly building upon their skill learning and practicing their skills.

Whether you currently have the ability to draw or are only confident in your ability to draw stick figures, this class is for you if you simply have the desire to draw!  Together, we'll go over the foundations of drawing and work on several exercises to help develop drawing skills, including figure drawing, contour, and mapping.  We'll create a series of projects to apply the things we're learning with the opportunity to use a variety of media!

Art Showcase ~ December 6-7, 2024 during the performances of Beauty and the Beast, Jr.

08

Our Town -
Infinite Joy is stretching! We're stepping out to produce a theatrical production that is very different from what we've ever done before. Our Town is not a musical, but a drama. The cast will be made up of actors 15 years old and above. The scenery, sound, and light production are all purposely minimalistic! The cast size will be small (17-20)!

Auditions: September 17, 2024, 6:30 - 9:00 pm

Dates: 9/24/24 - 01/25/25

Time: 6:30 - 9:00 pm

Instructor: Mike DeLong

Age: 15 - adult

Cost: Creativity in financing this new adventure is a must. Rather than basing finances on tuition to cover production costs, we plan to create fundraisers, to increase ticket prices (for this show), and to charge a small fee per actor. This cost is still TBD.

Location: Bethlehem Lutheran Church

Openings: 19 roles

Performances: January 24-25, 2025
