What’s a melodrama, you say? Great question! Melodrama - definition: a sensational dramatic play with exaggerated characters and exciting events intended to appeal to the emotions. Often encouraging audience participation with heckling and booing and cheering! Characters with names like Smedley Pewter, Pretty Priscilla, Doris DoRight, Cowgirl Cookie, Snickerdoodle, and Mix Chewy! (Are you gettin’ the picture???) Students and audiences are in for a HUGE Treat with villains, good guys/girls, campy over-the-top acting, and laughter & suspense nonstop! Class will tackle a number of shorter scripts, learning about the cartoon-like style of acting, and then produce a full Melodrama for an audience (Infinite Joy Studios - Showcase) at the end of the semester! Showcase Date/Time TBD - week of December 1st - 2025.

Sign Language (Stepping Stones)

Can you imagine someone sharing the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? Just by moving their hands and using facial expressions? This beginning sign language class will introduce vocabulary and common phrases with play, games and singing. We’ll explore sign language through books, children’s verse, and exploring our environment. Get ready to learn sign language in a fun and interactive way.

Sign Language (Elementary)
Dates: 9/08/25 - 12/04/25, Tuesdays
Time: 2:30 - 3:30 pm
Ages: 7-12 years

Are you shy but have a lot of thoughts that you'd like to express? or, are you known for your loud expressions and hands waving in the air as you talk? Have you ever thought that you'd love to express an idea all without using your voice? This class may be the perfect fit!
Sign language is a complete language that incorporates hand and finger movements, gestures, and facial expressions. Come learn to communicate using this beautiful visual language. We will learn a variety of vocabulary, finger-spelling, phrases, and how to express thoughts and ideas. We will also expand our vocabulary by learning to sign to songs. This fun class is full of movement and games to practice these new skills.
Students will have the opportunity to participate/perform during our showcase: Date/Time TBD week of December 1st - 2025.

Little Women (Adult Drama)
Dates: 9/23/25 - 02/15/26, Tuesdays and Thursdays

from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
*Auditions limited to those 18 and older.
We are still finalizing the performance date and venue, but tentatively are looking at Saturday, February 14th and Sunday, February 15th, 2026.
